Lake Powell Trip

I was horrible and didn't take many pictures on this trip, but I have to tell about our wonderful Lake Powell Trip with Ben Rodell and his wonderful family! Despite the fact that Scott and I got fried the first day- even with sunscreen- we couldn't have asked for better weather! I was pretty proud of myself for wake surfing 5 months pregnant! Hopefully our son was too! He he! I'm sure he'd be proud of my goofy faces I'm pulling! I know our son would be proud of his daddy! Scott did a great job out there on the wake!

Pink and Blue Party

Thanks to the wonderful idea of Agnes Francom, we had a pink and blue party where all the gals wore what color they thought the baby was. Scott found out a day ahead and was able to keep it a secret from me. He bought a cute little outfit and put that along with the picture of what the baby was in a box and wrapped it up. Towards the beginning of the party he brought it and I opened it up. And what to my wondering eyes did appear... It's a Boy sign I pulled out of the box along with a darling Puma outfit our son's daddy picked out just for him. All along I was convinced it was a girl but after the reactions I got from the tech, Scott, and the Birth Center Lady I was sure it was a boy.The party was a lot of fun. Beth made a pink and blue cake and we just ate a delicious salad bar. Oh, and my son's grandma bought him some clothes also. The moment I held up those clothes, it became more and more of a reality. Our son will be wearing these outfits. Crazy! Scott and I couldn't be more excited!

Memorial Day 2009

We took our annual trip to Bruce's cabin and it was wonderful as usual! This trip always comes at a well needed time and after our busy May month with Mother's Day, Proms and Memorial Day we were so excited for this little getaway. Klint & Mary, Bryce, Beth & Smith, Sebastian and his friend Paul all were up there and although we missed Nicole and the girls we laughed, watched movies and played outside. Izzy had a blast as well because her friends Carl and Mya were there. I got to watch the second half of Jane Erye with Beth and Mary and I absolutely loved it. It will definitely be one I will purchase in the future. Thanks Bruce and Rosalee!

Mr. Taylor, the MBA Grad

Mr. Taylor is officially now an MBA Grad! I'm so proud of all of the hard work he did to be able to reach his goal. I had so much fun being there and hearing his name be called out. He inspired me to reach my goal in graduating from college as well. What an awesome accomplishment!

It was so nice to have my mom, his parents and Kaylee come join us in the celebration. I brought him a Lei from our shop, I figured it was appropriate since we own a flower shop. Unfortunately my mom didn't make it but afterwords we went to the Himalayan Kitchen (an Indian Restaurant that was fabulous) afterword. It was absolutely delicious!

2 Taylors +1 = 3 Taylors

Although it came as a bit of a surprise (we were planning on end of December or January), we were ecstatic when we found out we were going to be adding a new little one to our family. Mr. Taylor couldn't believe the first test I took so he went and bought two more and sure enough they were positive just like the first. November 4 is when we are expecting their arrival. We can't wait!

Spreading the News!

We went Camping over Easter to Topaz mountain with my family and there is where I wanted to tell them. I had searched high and low for cute ideas to tell family we're pregnant and I think I found a cute one. My parents had to find eggs and unscramble the word puzzle sharing the news. It goes "Our excitement cannot be matched for in November a new little Taylor will hatch". I was nervous to see what they'd say, but they were very excited for us. My Omi started crying because she was so excited. She said "Oh, this means I'm going to be a greatgrandma!" We also did this with the Taylors and the whole family found it together. I loved that we got to tell them over easter. I love the timing of our first baby even if it weren't planned. Baby, you are going to be a very loved little one. We're all excited to see you!

Tasia's Birthday Tea Party

My sweet sister-in-law Beth planned this Adorable Birthday Tea Party for me and her Darling Sister Megan's Birthday. I walked in and saw how much time she put into the decorating and I couldn't wait to see what she had in store for the food. She is such an amazing cook! We started with Tea and Crumpets (or deluctible desserts) and then moved on to the main course!

Wow! Doesn't that look delicious! Phenomenal Pork Tenderloin, Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese with Awesome Asparagus was what we all got to enjoy this evening. My mom (thanks for coming mom!) along with a bunch of other wonderful friends came! We got to enjoy a role play by Tamera T. and Mary about the gossip going on around town (you'd have to be there :-) while savoring this fantastic dish! See what I mean! I was in great company! And we even had a real English Woman for our Tea Party (lovely to meet you Naomi). There were plenty of laughs and I think we all had a great time!
To top things off Sweet Sarah made Lemon Poppyseed muffins (Scott loved that) to which they put candles in them and they all sang Happy Birthday to the two of us! I'm so lucky to have the same birthday as such a beautiful girl as Megan Smailes!

Here we all are looking top notch for our perfect evening! I used an old dress that I never used for High School Dances, while the Francom Sisters dazzled us with their dos, and Beth with her Yellow-beaded Necklace, Tamera went above and beyond and wore her excellant earings, Mary and Megan wore their flowers in their hair and Agnes and my wonderful Mother were looking smashing as always!

Watch out next years Priesthood night! Next time it's at Agnes and let's just say there'll be even more sparkles. Oh, and we'll be flyining in Martha and Kristin because it just wasn't the same without you two (I miss you lovely ladies). Thanks Beth for the wonderful yearly tradition! You did a fabulous job! I couldn't have asked for a better Birthday Tea Party! Love you Bethy!
